GM to Sell Medium Duty Trucks To Fund Future Projects

There has been news GM is even planning to sell its medium duty truck line that is W series, T series and the massive Kodiak. These trucks are used for transporting heavy goods and luggage’
s to longer distances. Many buyers even buy refrigerated versions of these trucks as it comes with heavy duty refrigerators that can be used for transporting perishable goods. GM is one of the largest manufacturers that produce medium duty truck.
Isuzu is the brand that has showed interest in buying medium duty GM trucks. This Japanese auto maker is one of the biggest manufacturers that come with superior engine and durable body. Isuzu one had 49 percent stake in the GM’s medium duty division. GM even supplied Isuzu light duty trucks which Isuzu supplied in their home market and other stateside markets. Even Isuzu had contributed in a lot many ways to maintain the relation, Isuzu diesel engine where very popular with GM trucks. W series and T series platform was even contributed in a lot many ways with Isuzu.
As GMC and Chevrolet Trucks are sold in the US market with many dealers untangling these trucks from GM brand will be definitely one of the most difficult jobs. With many successful trucks under this brand GM will definitely face a huge loss in its sale. As GM’s requirements to fund many up coming projects therefore GM will be selling the unsuccessful brand and lineups form its shelter. GM will be finalizing its portfolio and will be deciding which to sell and the one to maintain. Lately there has been decline of sales in the domestic market share of GM due to the tough competition.
Isuzu has confirmed this new that GM has not yet contacted Isuzu with the Proposal and in future if there is any such deal then Isuzu will be eager to consider it.
